Holiday Message from the President
Dear Clients and Friends,
2009 brings to a close a dramatic decade in the world. Most recently, we have experienced an unprecedented financial crisis which has changed the face of the world economy, as well as the coordinated global efforts aimed to trigger economic recovery and ease the crisis’s long-term financial impact. This decade has also combined natural disasters with the shock of 9/11 and the resulting global changes and war efforts. Finally, we have become increasingly aware of climate change, and have seen the explosion of social networking on the Internet.
Even with all the dramatic world events that have taken place throughout this decade, CMN’s focus and commitment have stayed the same: Excellent Patient Care, Reducing the Cost of Health Claims, and helping our Clients to Succeed. This core philosophy which is behind our “Managing with Care” trademark approach, has brought considerable benefits to our clients, and success to CMN. The first ten years of the 21st Century marked the elevation of CMN in the industry. Since 2005 we have tripled in size, and with our acquisition in 2006, we have benefited from becoming a part of the global Europ Assistance team. Throughout the course of the last ten years, we have remained focused on continually improving and diversifying the range of services we provide for you, and have dedicated a significant amount on time and effort to further enhancing our network of proprietary hospital deals tailored to the needs of the International market.
As we move into the next decade, we recognize that we need to continue to improve and adapt, while maintaining high levels of service. One such improvement that I am extremely excited to share with you is our selection of a new operational system platform, which while being a major investment, is an important part of ensuring that we best manage cost and quality before, during and after treatment in addition to claims review, discounts and negotiation. In order to ensure a smooth transition of our clients to this new platform, we have chosen to rollout to you in controlled phases throughout the year. We will keep you informed throughout 2010 as we get closer to launching our new platform.
It remains an honour to be your business partner, and we appreciate your business. As we approach the holiday season and the close of this decade, I would like to wish you a peaceful and special time with your family and friends. Life becomes increasingly busy and complicated, but it is our key relationships that matter in the long run.
